Travel packages for journalists

Apply now for our travel packages and meet some of the best mathematicians in the world - deadline is September, 30

Approaching its tenth year of successful progression, the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics will be hosting a major international conference from October, 21 - 23: PANORAMA OF MATHEMATICS. The conference will outline new trends, results, and challenges in mathematical sciences. The Hausdorff Center provides ten travel packages for qualified journalists to support them in traveling to the conference.

Panorama of Mathematics will reflect the broad spectrum of mathematical research at the Hausdorff Center and highlight recent challenges in the field. A number of highly distinguished researchers have already confirmed their talks - including several Fields Medalists and Germany's youngest professor. "We're delighted that our conference will unite some of the best mathematicians in the world here in Bonn", says the coordinator of the Hausdorff Center Karl-Theodor Sturm. The social program of the conference includes the award-winning exhibition "Transcending Tradition" about the life and work of Jewish mathematicians.

Science journalists of all career levels and from all kind of media who wish to report about the conference are invited to apply for our research packages. The packages will cover the individual travel costs to Bonn and accommodation during the conference.

Please send your application with two work samples to presse(at)hcm.uni-bonn.de.

Deadline for the application is September 30, 2015.
