Random Matrix Day 2011

Date: February 14, 2011

Venue: Endenicher Allee 60, Lipschitz Lecture Room

Organizers: Patrik Ferrari, Holger Rauhut, Benjamin Schlein

The purpose of this one-day workshop is to give an overview of the research in Random Matrix Theory pursued at the University of Bonn. We aim particularly at identifying possible common research interests. For this reason, the talks are intended to be informal, and we leave plenty of time for discussions.

10:00-11:00  Holger Rauhut: Structured Random Matrices in Compressive Sensing
11:00-11:30 Coffee Break
11:30-12:30 Patrik Ferrari: Random Matrices Methods for and from Particle Systems and Growth Models
12:30-14:00 Lunch
14:00-15:00 Benjamin Schlein: Spectral Properties of Wigner Matrices
15:00-15:30 Coffee Break
15:30-open end   Informal Discussions
