Job Application Training

As a part of the soft skills program, the Hausdorff School offers an introduction to applications and selection processes in cooperation with the Zurich Gruppe Deutschland.

November 2, 2016

10-16h

Lipschitz Lecture Hall

The idea of this workshop is to deal with standards around the recruiting process. Participants will learn how companies fill their vacancies and what this means for you as a (potential) candidate. The workshop provides a unique insight into the selection process of an insurance company, working with 'real life' examples and exercises. In the afternoon you will meet colleagues with a background in mathematics who can give you an idea of how they have started their career.

  • Standard Recruiting Process
  • Selection and Assessment
  • Selection Criteria
  • Interview
  • Assessment Center
  • Practical examples
  • Meet mathematicians who started their career in insurance

Feel free to contact Dr. Astrid Slizewski if you have any questions about the workshop.

Registration is required. The workshop is open to all postdocs and PhD students of the HCM.
