Workshop: Probability and asymptotic analysis in strongly coupled systems

Description: In the past 10 years, new techniques have emerged to perform the asymptotic analysis in strongly coupled, infinite-dimensional systems like relaxation methods, Schwinger-Dyson equation, transport of measures. They laid foundations that need to be developed further and can potentially be of use for important problems in mathematical physics, e.g., universality questions in random matrix theory (RMT) or the description of the continuum limit of integrable quantum field theories in 1+1 dimensions. This conference will emphasize advances and methods which can be applied with a great generality.

During the workshop there will be a few introductory talks on:

  • Transport methods and universality
  • Mesoscopic and microscopic estimates in random matrix theory
  • Supersymmetric methods in random matrix theory
  • Schwinger-Dyson equations and asymptotic expansions
