Bonn, 01.12.2020. The German Mathematical Society (Deutsche Mathematiker-Vereinigung; DMV) has been honoring the "Mathemacher*in des Monats" since 2008. "Mathemacher*innen" are ambassadors of mathematics and support the important concern of the DMV to fascinate as many people as possible by mathematics.

With big pleasure we announce that Antje Kiesel and Thoralf Räsch were selected and portrayed for December 2020. In addition to their long-standing commitment to teaching and public relations, their very successful creation and realization of "Mathematical Walks" was the decisive factor for this award. Both initiated and managed this awesome project, which we have already reported on many times.

Further information and a detailed interview with Antje Kiesel and Thoralf Räsch can be found here (in German).

Congratulations to both of you!
