Calderon Prize for Angkana Rüland

Bonn, 06.09.2023. Angkana Rüland has received the 2023 Calderon Prize of The Inverse Problems International Association (IPIA).

The Calderon Prize is a prestigious prize awarded to a researcher under the age of 40 who has made distinguished contributions to the field of inverse problems. IPIA aims to promote research in this field to represent it in the mathematical and scientific community as well as the general public.

After her PhD in 2014 at the University of Bonn, Angkana Rüland went to the University of Oxford as a postdoctoral researcher and subsequently became a junior research group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig in 2017. In 2020, she received an appointment at the University of Heidelberg as a W3 professor and in 2023, she returned to Bonn as holder of one of the prestigious Hausdorff Chairs.
